La production de l’oxygène médical en Algérie est passée de 120 000 litres/jour à 500 000 litres/jour, annonce, Lotfi Benbahmed, ministre de l’Industrie Pharmaceutique, qui était mardi matin, l’invité de la rédaction de la Chaine 3 de la Radio Algérienne.
« Cette semaine nous sommes au maximum de notre production, 500 000 litres/jour, grâce un producteur qui a ajouté encore 50 000 de production, puisque avant on produisait 450 000 litres/jour», dit-il. « C’est vrais qu’il y a eu des petites perturbations la semaine passée par rapport à un de nos producteurs qui devait techniquement revoir ses installations, ce qui a été fait », explique le ministre.
«Nous avons réuni, hier, tous les opérateurs en présence des ministres de l’intérieur et celui de la santé où nous avons mutualisé l’ensemble des moyens des producteurs », affirme l’invité, qui précise que cela va nous permettre de gérer au mieux la disponibilité de l’oxygène dans nos hôpitaux.
Le ministre a en outre indiqué que le problème se pose actuellement dans l’acheminement de l’oxygène vers les structures hospitalières, qui ont parfois des installations insuffisantes en termes de capacité de stockage. Arguant ses dires, il indique qu’ «un hôpital par exemple qui a une cuve qui lui permet de tenir 15 jours, en temps de Covid, il peut tenir peut être 24 à 48 H. Donc, il faut faire les rotations nécessaires afin d’éviter la rupture de l’oxygène dans ces établissements ».
