L’Algérie recevra ce lundi un nouveau quota de 500.00 doses du vaccin chinois Sinovac, a indiqué une responsable du ministère de la Santé, annonçant l’arrivage de près de 3 millions de doses durant le mois de juillet prochain.
« L’Algérie recevra, aujourd’hui (lundi), 500.000 doses du vaccin Sinovac. D’autres arrivages sont attendus en juillet avec la réception d’une autre quantité de 3 types de vaccins en l’occurrence le chinois, le russe et l’Astra Zeneca », a indiqué la directrice général de la Pharmacie au ministère de la Santé, en marge de la cérémonie de célébration de la Journée mondiale anti-tabac. Elle a affirmé que l’Algérie recevra, de plus en plus de vaccins, durant les mois à venir.
« On réceptionnera, d’ici la fin juin, 5,5 millions de doses. Un autre quota conséquent sera reçu pour juillet, août et septembre, pour être approvisionné régulièrement au fil des mois jusqu’à arriver à l’objectif que nous nous sommes assigné à la fin de l’année en cours ».
Concernant l’allocation du mécanisme onusien Covax, elle a expliqué que c’est un programme d’allocation qui est fait au début de chaque trimestre. « Nous sommes en train de recevoir les 364.800 et les 758.400 doses de vaccin Astra Zeneca, un programme qui a débuté en avril pour couvrir les mois d’avril, mai et juin », a-t-elle expliqué.
« Nous attendons en juin un autre quota de 758.400 doses, ce qui portera notre réception via le mécanisme Covax à plus de 1.880.000 doses », a-t-elle estimé, ajoutant qu’il s’agit de l’allocation prévue pour l’Algérie pour avril, mai et juin », a-t-elle relevé.
