Le ministre de la Numérisation et des Statistiques, Hocine Cherhabil a annoncé ce mardi la relance dans « les prochaines semaines » du Conseil national des statistiques, qualifiant cet organisme de « force de proposition » dans le domaine des statistiques.
L’annonce a été faite à l’occasion d’une rencontre organisée par la tutelle avec les départements ministériels en charge des statistiques, au niveau du Centre national de recherche sur l’information scientifique et technique (CERIST) à Ben Aknoun, dans le but de moderniser et développer le système national des statistiques.
Le ministre a fait état du lancement des procédures juridiques nécessaires pour la relance du Conseil national des statistiques qu’il a qualifié de « force de proposition et d’espace de dialogue concernant les questions ayant trait aux statistiques ».
Hocine Cherhabil a rappelé, par la même occasion, que le Conseil est composé de compétences universitaires et d’experts reconnus dans leur domaine de spécialité, en sus de représentants de départements ministériels et d’organismes publics.
Et d’évoquer le lancement de l’opération d’inventaire statistique à la faveur du renforcement du réseau statistique local par la création de cellules au niveau local en coordination avec les secteurs des Collectivités locales et des Finances, avant de mettre en avant le rôle accompli par l’Office national des statistiques (ONS) dans la réussite et l’accompagnement technique de cette opération. Ces cellules statistiques avaient été mises en place provisoirement au niveau des directions locales de la programmation et du suivi du budget, en attendant l’installation des structures décentralisées du ministère dans les wilayas lesquelles devront recourir aux cellules communales dans la collecte et la consolidation des données statistiques dans chaque wilaya.
L’opération d’inventaire statistique permettra de collecter un paquet d’indicateurs socioéconomiques au niveau local à travers un questionnaire qui permettra de diagnostiquer la situation, évaluer les atouts locaux et suivre les indicateurs de cohésion sociale.
Elle aura aussi une répercussion positive sur le processus de prise de décision sur la plan local et centre en conférant aux hautes autorités une vision claire pour prendre les décisions relatives à l’orientation des politiques publiques, selon le ministre.
