Le Président-directeur général (PDG) de Sonelgaz, Chaher Boulakhras, a annoncé hier un projet d’interconnexion entre le réseau électrique algérien de Hassi Messaoud avec celui de la Libye via Ghadamès, en précisant que cette décision « historique » va consolider la vision de l’interconnexion du réseau du Maghreb, de l’Afrique du Nord et de la région subsaharienne.
S’exprimant sur les ondes de la chaine 3 de la radio nationale, M. Boulakhras a indiqué que « la décision sur le projet d’interconnexion du réseau électrique du grand sud entre Hassi Messaoud et Ghadamès a été prise récemment lors de l’Assemblée générale du groupe Sonelgaz, tenue le 31 mai dernier et sur proposition de Sonelgaz ».
Il a précisé que ce projet s’inscrit dans le cadre de l’accord de partenariat et du mémorandum d’entente entre l’entreprise Sonelgaz et la Compagnie générale de l’électricité de Libye (GECOL) signés en décembre 2020 et visant à mettre en place « les véritables jalons de coopération entre les deux pays et entre les deux entreprises du secteur ».
Le P-dg de Sonelgaz a mis en exergue, à ce propos, que cet « important » projet permettra des échanges en matière énergétique entre les deux pays, mais aussi à consolider « la vision d’aller vers l’interconnexion du réseau du Maghreb, de l’Afrique du Nord et de subsaharienne ».
« Nous sommes entrain de mettre en place ce projet graduellement. Il s’agit d’un projet sur 3 ans selon le mode opératoire que nous avions adopté », dira-t-il.
Dans le même ordre d’idées, il a réitéré « l’engagement de l’Algérie, via l’entreprise Sonelgaz, à soutenir la République libyenne dans son nouveau décollage économique ».
« Nous sommes présents en Libye et nous travaillons depuis 6 mois. Les relations sont excellentes dans ce domaine. Il y a une très bonne volonté politique affiché entre les deux pays et aussi par les deux sociétés. Sonelgaz est prête à mettre à profit toute son expérience énergétique et ses ressources matérielles et humaines dans le cadre du principe gagnant-gagnant », poursuit-il.
Le patron de la Sonelgaz a affirmé que son groupe a pris aussi la décision de renforcer sur le court terme la flotte de l’entreprise libyenne GECOL par des turbines mobiles d’une capacité de 265 mégawatts (MW) à partir du mois de juillet prochain, tout en faisant état de l’intervention réussie des équipes de Sonelgaz dépêchées au niveau de la centrale Khoms (Tripoli), qui a permis de récupérer une « grande puissance et de soulager le réseau libyen ».
Cette équipe de 30 techniciens et ingénieurs algériens a été déployée en Libye pour assurer des interventions et le diagnostic nécessaire, a-t-il ajouté, précisant que le réseau libyen nécessite d’être réhabilité et reconstruit.
« Nous travaillons sur la partie haute tension, la formation, la numérisation et aussi l’activité de la maintenance des équipements, des réseaux et des centrales de production avec des pièces de rechange fabriquées en Algérie », a-t-il fait savoir.
