L’Ambassadeur d’Algérie à Paris, Mohamed-Antar Daoud, qui a repris récemment ses fonctions dans la capitale française, a été reçu à l’Elysée et au Quai d’Orsay, indique, ce samedi, un communiqué de l’Ambassade d’Algérie en France.
« L’Ambassadeur Mohamed-Antar Daoud a été reçu successivement, jeudi 13 janvier 2022, par le Secrétaire Général de l’Elysée, M. Alexis Kohler et la Directrice Afrique du Nord et Moyen Orient, au Ministère de l’Europe et des Affaires Etrangères (MEAE), Mme Anne Gueguen », précise le même communiqué.
Lors de ces rencontres, les interlocuteurs français se sont « félicités de la reprise des contacts entre les deux parties et émis le souhait de voir le retour de l’Ambassadeur marquer une nouvelle étape dans les relations entre les deux pays ».
Pour sa part, le diplomate algérien en France a rappelé que son retour sur instruction du président de la République, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, « est motivé par le souci d’aller de l’avant et ce, à travers, la concertation, seule susceptible de réaliser les convergences sur les questions d’intérêt commun », souligne le communiqué de l’Ambassade d’Algérie en France.
M.Daoud, relève encore la source, a précisé que sa mission consiste à œuvrer au » raffermissement des relations bilatérales et leur redynamisation ».
Le SG de l’Elysée, de son côté, a réitéré la volonté des autorités françaises, au plus haut niveau, » à préserver le caractère exceptionnel de nos relations et à les inscrire dans un esprit d’apaisement, de confiance et de respect mutuel ».
Lors de sa rencontre avec la Directrice Afrique du Nord et Moyen Orient au MEAE, poursuit la même source, » le diplomate algérien a notifié à la partie française l’accord des autorités algériennes pour la tenue, à Alger, le 31 janvier 2022, des Consultations Politiques au niveau des Secrétaires Généraux des Ministères des Affaires Etrangères ».
Ce déplacement, note le communiqué, a été, aussi, l’occasion pour l’Ambassadeur d’introduire officiellement la demande de « la réouverture du Consulat d’Algérie à Melun et aborder la question de la coopération consulaire dont notamment celle relative à l’attribution des visas et titres de séjour à nos ressortissants ».
Par ailleurs, les deux parties ont largement évoqué la question de la tenue à Alger de la 5ème session du Comité Intergouvernemental de Haut Niveau (CIHN) », selon le même communiqué.
