L’Algérie prendra part aux travaux de la 109ème session de l’Organisation internationale du Travail (OIT) qui se tiendra du 03 au 19 juin prochain par visioconférence, a indiqué jeudi le ministère du Travail, de l’Emploi et de la Sécurité sociale dans un communiqué.
Seront présents à cette conférence internationale « des représentants des Gouvernements, des employeurs et des employés de 187 pays membres de l’Organisation, qui débattront de plusieurs questions d’ordre technique, notamment celles liées aux incidences de la Covid-19 sur le monde du travail et l’exécution de la stratégie de relance du travail décent », précise la même source. En préparation de la participation de l’Algérie aux travaux de cette session, le ministre du Travail, Lachemi Djaaboub a présidé jeudi au siège de son département une réunion de coordination tripartite (Gouvernement-Syndicat-Patronat) en vue de « consolider la concertation, la coordination et l’unification des vues », a-t-on souligné.
Ont assisté à cette rencontre, le SG de l’UGTA, la présidente de la CGEA, en présence des représentants du SNAPAP, de l’UGEA, de la CAP et de la Confédération générale du patronat du BTPH.
Lors de son intervention, le ministre a fait savoir que « l’Algérie ne figure pas cette année parmi la liste préliminaire des pays concernés par la reddition des comptes de la part de la Commission de l’application des normes ».
Pour M. Djaaboub, si l’Algérie ne figure pas, pour la première depuis 2017, dans cette liste, c’est qu’il y a eu un progrès réalisé en matière d’application des normes internationales du travail, notamment l’application de la convention internationale N 87 sur la liberté syndicale et la protection du droit syndical ».
De même qu’il a salué « les efforts déployés par les organisations syndicales des travailleurs et patronales afin de retirer l’Algérie de la liste des observations préliminaires que prévoient la commission susmentionnée ».
Djaaboub a souligné « la disposition de l’Algérie de mettre son expérience pionnière en matière de sécurité sociale à la portée des pays africains afin de consolider les fondements d’un modèle de protection sociale durable », indiquant que « l’Algérie présentera une déclaration au nom du groupe africain sur la protection sociale ».
En marge des travaux de cette session, conclut le communiqué, il sera question d’examiner le rapport du directeur général de l’OIT sur la situation des travailleurs palestiniens dans les territoires arabes occupés, dans un contexte marqué par des condamnations internationales des mesures arbitraires et des dépassements de l’occupation sioniste contre les travailleurs et le peuple palestiniens ».
