L’Algérie, à travers l’entreprise nationale des hydrocarbures Sonatrach, discute avec ses clients des moyens de s’adapter aux changements actuels que connait le marché gazier, a déclaré ce lundi, le ministre de l’Energie et des mines, Mohamed Arkab.
« Nous sommes en discussions avec nos clients sur la façon de s’adapter aux changements du marché. Il faut savoir que dans ce cadre, l’Algérie reste fidèle à ses engagements en termes de fourniture de gaz », a affirmé le ministre de l’Energie et des Mines, lors d’un point de presse en marge d’une rencontre régionale tripartite entre la Commission de régulation de l’électricité et du gaz (CREG), les associations de protection des consommateurs et les directions de l’énergie.
Le ministre a fait cette déclaration suite à la hausse des prix énergétiques, notamment ceux du gaz naturel en Europe, imputée par des experts au choix de plusieurs pays européens des contrats à court terme (spot) d’acquisition de gaz aux dépens des contrats à long terme.
« Il y a un grand changement dans le marché pétrolier et surtout gazier, qui a poussé Sonatrach à ouvrir des discussions avec ses clients, mais je vous assure que l’Algérie, via Sonatrach, est toujours fidèle à ses engagements contractuels ».
