« Dans le sillage des opérations de lutte contre la contrebande et la criminalité organisée et dans le cadre de la sécurisation de nos eaux territoriales, les Garde-côtes du Commandement des Forces Navales, relevant de la Façade Maritime Ouest à Oran, ont déjoué, le 26 juin 2021 à 22H00, une tentative d’introduction d’une énorme quantité de cocaïne destinée à l’inondation de notre pays par ces poisons et drogues. », précise le communiqué
» L’opération a été amorcée à travers un appel lancé par des pêcheurs algériens, portant sur la présence de sacs suspects qui flottaient, et suite auquel des unités des Garde-côtes d’Arzew ont été dépêchées sur les lieux à (06) miles marins au nord-ouest de Cap Carbon à Oran, où elles ont repêché et saisi une quantité de cocaïne s’élevant à (490,05) kilogrammes répartie sur (442) plaquettes », ajoute le communiqué du MDN.
