Le ministre de la Santé, Abderrahmane Benbouzid déclare, ce dimanche, que l’Algérie a importé près de 29 millions de doses de vaccin anti-Covid-19 depuis l’apparition de la pandémie.
Présentant la stratégie nationale de lutte contre la pandémie de Covid-19 et de relance de l’économie nationale, à l’occasion de l’organisation de la première édition d’Algerian Invest Conference, le ministre de la Santé note que « l’Etat a mobilisé tous les moyens nécessaires afin de rendre le vaccin accessible à tous. Néanmoins, déplore-t-il, les citoyens ont afflué vers les centres de vaccination après l’atteinte du pic épidémique mais un relâchement a été constaté avec le recul du nombre de cas ».
Par ailleurs, Benbouzid a rappelé qu’un stock de différents vaccins importés est disponible au niveau de 800 établissements de santé mobilisés pour cette opération, en sus de 13 millions de doses de vaccin au niveau des services de certains hôpitaux, réitérant son appel aux citoyens non encore vaccinés pour le faire ce qui permettra de freiner la propagation du virus.
Le ministre a regretté l’abstention des citoyens à la vaccination qui a atteint plus de 247.000 vaccinés par jour lors des pics épidémiques au cours des derniers mois, avant que ce nombre ne recule à moins de 20.000 par jour ces derniers jours.
